Mercy in You

Now that its been a year and a half since I completed the Kaleidoscope project and its more or less no longer available, I've decided to upload my pieces from it.

This is a piece inspired by Depeche Mode's "Songs of Faith and Devotion" album. The sounds and colors of the album influenced the design of "muses" for each drawing I did to accompany a fan-written essay. The album artwork for SOFAD is a bit grungy and abstract with paint splotches, and as the title hints, the lyrics are full of religious metaphor, while at the same time being a very sensual sounding album. I attempted to channel the characteristics of the album artwork, the music, and my own emotions when listening to the album to create these pieces.
